5 Quick Reads // Back to School
I know how frustrating it is when you're buried under piles of homework and all you want to do is read a book. It's so unfair, right?
So, today I'm going to share with you 5 short books that you can pick up on the days when you don't have so much dreaded homework!
A few of these books I've spoken about many times before, but that just goes to show how amazing they are! Trust me, when you've read them, all you'll want to do is talk about them. (If that is the case, feel free to talk to me in the comments about them!)
Also, I have reviewed a few of these books here on my blog. To find the reviews just click on the book titles.
Here are my top 5 quick reads:
Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
This book is one of the best books that I've read so far this year. Not only is the story amazing and unique, the writing is brilliant. You will fly through this book and even though it's fast paced you will become so attached to the characters you won't want to story to end.
I haven't reviewed this book yet, if you'd like a review let me know!
Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella
Yeah, I know what you're thinking - 'Em, you talk about this book in every blog post...' I know! I can't help it! It's just such a good book and definitely another one of the favourites. Although this book is short and can be read easily in just a couple of sittings, the story isn't rushed. It's carefully written and includes so much, you'll wonder how it all fits in such a short book!
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
This book is a thriller/mystery and is full of suspense. You really won't be able to put it down, so only read this when you have no homework due in for the next day! After every chapter you'll be left wondering what will happen next, it really is a page turner. So, although this book is over 300 pages long, it certainly won't take long to read.
Ways to Live Forever by Sally Nicholls
This book will probably make you cry. It's such a sad, powerful book that will leave you speechless. I read this book in one sitting, it was as if it had been glued to my hands I just couldn't put it down. I really don't know how to describe this book other than saying, it's just absolutely amazing and you must read it. (I haven't reviewed this book but if you click on the title it will take you to it's Goodreads page)
You Know Me Well by Nina LaCour and David Levithan
This is a short, quick read that is perfect for reading after a busy school day, it's a nice story about friendship and first love, with a little twist. That friendship doesn't turn into a first love, the friendship forms when the two main characters Mark and Kate are having troubles with their own love lives. This is a Summery story about friendship, which is a storyline you don't see enough of!
