August TBR
It's time to write about my August TBR!
This month, I have chosen four books (there were five but I've already finished one...)!
I'm hoping to finish all of these, I have so many Summery books that I want to read before Summer ends! Fingers crossed!
Here are the books that I'd like to read this month:
You Know Me Well by Nina LaCour and David Levithan
This is a nice short read that follows two people, Mark and Kate. Mark is in love with his best friend Ryan and Kate is in love with a girl called Violet.
Sounds simple, right? Unfortunately, it isn't. There are things in the way of their 'happily ever afters'.
That's when Mark and Kate meet and become good friends. Together they help each other through these difficult times.
I really liked the sound of this story and I love the cover!
The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot
Once again, this is another short read that follows Mia. She lives an ordinary teenage life until one day, she finds out that she is the heir to the throne of Genovia. She is a Princess. There's only one problem, she's not very happy with living like royalty.
I absolutely loved the films for these books, they are so funny. So I can't wait to read the books!
Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella
I've wanted to read this series for quite a long time now. As the title suggests, these books follow Becky Bloomwood and she is a shopaholic. She lives the life of luxury, with everything she could ever wish for. Apart from one thing, she's receiving letters from the bank. She needs to cut back, but it just isn't that easy, after all she is a shopaholic.
I read a book by Sophie Kinsella last month (you can read my review here) and I loved her writing, so I can't wait to read this book. Also, I loved the film!
And lastly,
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
This will be my first book by Rainbow Rowell and I've heard nothing but great things about this book!
It follows identical twins, Cath and Wren at a time when they no longer want to do everything together, they want to live their own lives. Wren wants to live her life to the full whereas Cath is far happier living the quiet life writing fanfiction.
Then Cath is faced with the question, does she want to step out of her comfort zone and experience life?
I can't wait to read this book, it looks so good!
~
So there are all the books I'd like to read this month!
Have you read any of these books?
Also, I'd love to know what books are on your TBR for August, let me know in the comments!
Speak soon,
Em x

I wanted to read the shopaholic serie for a long time but I don't feel it for some reason so I'm curious to see what you'll think about it !
ReplyDeleteI've never read anything by Meg Cabot, I feel like everyone around me talks about her but I don't know which book I should read first ><
Oh and my TBR for this month :
Nevernight
The Final Empire
The Killer Next Door
It'd be a miracle if I finish them all this month though haha
They look really good and I love Sophie Kinsella's writing, she's really funny!
DeleteI don't think I've read any of Meg Cabot's books before, I've always wanted to read The Princess Diaries though, I love the films! Have you seen the films?
They sound like good books! Let me know what they're like!
I read this big bind up of Shopaholic years ago, so I don't remember much of it, but I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI've only read one Rainbow Rowell book so far (Carry On) and it was surprisingly good! Hope Fangirl is like that as well, but I haven't read it (yet!)
Thank you! I hope so too!
DeleteI have Carry On, I haven't read it yet though, it looks really good! I've heard a lot of great things about Fangirl so yeah, hopefully it is a good book!
