July Wrap Up

Now that it's August (I swear I just blinked and half of year flew by...) it's time to write about all of the books that I read in July!

I'm actually really happy with the books that I read, normally I only read a couple of books a month but this month, I finished reading four books!

Let's begin!

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

I really enjoyed this book. I love how the chapters flitted between Finch and Violet, which made me become really attached to the characters.
This book has stuck in my head since the day I finished it, I think about the storyline nearly everyday. I don't know why, it's just that type of story that will stick with you.

Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella

This book taught me a lot about how people cope with mental illnesses. It's also taught me to not be so quick to judge people as that we don't know what's going on in their lives.
I really enjoyed reading this story, I will definitely be reading more of Sophie Kinsella's books as I just fell in love with her writing.

The Tethering by Megan O'Russell

I read this book as an eBook, which I rarely do!
This story is the first fantasy story I've read in a long time and I'm glad that I read it. It's made me want to read more fantasy!
I'm really looking forward to reading the next book in this series, as it was left on a great cliff hanger!
Who doesn't love a cliff hanger?

And lastly,

Looking for Alaska by John Green

To be honest, I wasn't sure that I'd like this book. I had read The Fault in Our Stars and just wasn't sure whether his other books would be as good. Luckily, this book was nearly as good.
I loved the characters in this book, John Green's writing is fantastic.
This book has made me want to read more of John Green's books, so if you have any recommendations leave them in the comments!

I hope you enjoyed my first ever wrap up post!

  1. I read Looking for Alaska awhile back and it's still stuck in my head. Was such an amazing book to me. I thought it wouldn't be with all the recent hype, but it really was.
I recall seeing All The Bright Places on a book selling website but I have no idea why I didn't buy it!

    1. Yeah, I still think about it a lot! That's a sign of a great book. I heard a few bad reviews about it as well so that put me off reading it for a while but I am so glad I did. All the Bright Places is a really good book, you should definitely read it!!
