Autumn Book Recommendations
I am soo happy it is finally Autumn! I love Autumn, because it means you can snuggle up in a blanket with a hot drink and a book on the sofa all day long. That is my idea of the perfect day.
I have read quite a few books which I feel are great for this time of the year so I thought it would be fun to share some of them with you!
Here are my Autumn book recommendations:
I've split these books into genres, my favourite genres for Autumn are historical fiction, fantasy and psychological thrillers! (And a bit of good old YA, of course!)
(By the way, I have reviewed some of these books on my blog! Click on the titles if you'd like to read them!)
Mystery & Psychological Thrillers
I've chosen two books for this genre, The Girl Who Came Back by Susan Lewis and The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. Both of these books are full of suspense and will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. If you love books that you cannot put down, then these are the books for you! I really enjoyed both of these books and will always remember them, they are stuck in my head forever!
They're also perfect for Halloween!
Fantasy
For this genre, I have chosen The Tethering by Megan O'Russell and The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. The Tethering is the first book in a series, I read this book a couple of months ago and really enjoyed it. The Graveyard Book is probably suitable for children and young adults, but I'd even recommend it to adults it's that good! I love this book, I read it years ago but I can still remember the story!
For some reason, I only read fantasy during Autumn and Winter, is that weird?
Historical Fiction
I love historical fiction, it's a genre that I need to read more of! I love it when you can read an amazing book and also learn a lot from it, like how people lived years and years ago. For this genre I have chosen two of my favourite books, Emerald by Karen Wallace and The Lady in the Tower by Marie-Louise Jensen. Not only do these books have beautiful covers that are so Autumnal, they are also amazing stories. I remember reading these books a few years ago and not being able to put them down, they were that good. So if you're looking for a good historical fiction, then I highly recommend these!
Young Adult
I only have one book for this genre, it is a book that I read about four years ago and absolutely loved! It is Burning Secrets by Clare Chambers. It's full of mystery, suspense and secrets, which don't unfold until the very end. It's also got a really pretty cover... I'm definitely going to have to reread this book, if you're looking for a good story to lose yourself in and you enjoy pretending to be a detective and trying to figure out the secrets, then this is the book for you!

So there are my Autumn book recommendations for 2016! Have your read any of these books?
