My Review:
In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware is a gripping book full of suspense. It follows the main character called Nora. She hasn't seen her best friend Clare for ten years, since the day Nora walked away from her own life and made a new one for herself.
Nora has a good life, she lives alone in her own flat, where she can put on the coffee machine without getting out of bed, she's an excellent runner and is an author. She writes crime fiction for a living, little did she know she'd be living the life of one of her fictional characters in just a couple of month's time.
One day, out of the blue, Nora gets an email from someone called Flo, who turns out to be Clare's maid of honour. Nora has been invited to Clare's hen party.
It's not the type of hen party that your friends tell you about, this one ended with Nora stuck in hospital. But how did she get there? What happened to Nora?
I absolutely loved this story. It's jam packed with drama, after every chapter you are left wanting more, wanting to find out what happened.
There are so many mysteries to be solved.
Why did Nora leave her old life behind?
How come she is no longer in touch with her best friend?
Why has she been invited to this hen party after ten years?
And, why is she now in hospital?
You can't get bored whilst reading this book. You are given the role of being a detective from the very beginning. The storyline is so well thought out, you will be left wondering how Ruth Ware did it. Everything connects in a way you'd think wasn't possible.
I can't recommend this book enough. If you are looking for a mystery/thriller novel with a strong plot and great writing, then this is the book for you.
I have given this book a strong four out of five stars.
If you enjoyed this book you will enjoy...

This does sound really interesting! And I enjoyed The Girl on the Train so I'll be adding this to my list in the hopes that I enjoy it as well.
